	<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://features.cgsociety.org/gallerycrits/304971/304971_1214274434_small.jpg"><br><br>This is a concept image I had in my mind for a while.   I wanted to create a scenario somewhere in the mid 1900's, where a robot finds itself in a precarious situation while trying to do the right thing.   I love the simplistic early designs of the robot ideal and wanted to try to capture it here.<br />

Painted in photoshop - the robot was worked out with basic geometric cylinders in Maya.<br />

It represents a sinkhole In Palenque, South America, where King Pakal's second tomb has been discovered, along with his Mayan 'vehicle'.  Mostly completed in Photoshop, with many objects modelled in Maya.]]>
